Josef Julian Mangual Falcon Baptism in 1785
So here is another post that I had sitting in reserve that just needed for me to add the image. Since I’m sitting at the airport, I decided to add the image and release the post for Josef Julian Mangual Falcon.
You never know where you’ll find an ancestor. A perfect example was discovering Josef Julian’s baptism record in Santurce, Puerto Rico at the San Matheo Apostle Roman Catholic Church which the region was once known as Cangrejos . I located his record in Book 1, Folio 58 and he is the 338th entry in the book.
Josef Julian was baptized on the 6th day of March in 1785 and was registered as being 9 days old. Therefore, this would make him born on February 26th. His parents are Juan Mangual and Casimira Falcon.
For Juan and Casimira, I have located 8 children; 6 boys and 2 girls. Juan Mangual Borras and Casimira Falcon Lin are my 6th Great Grandparents with Josef Julian being a great grand uncle. I descend from his sister, Maria del Rosario Mangual Falcon, who is my 5th great grandmother and I have blogged about her here. I’m providing the image of his baptism below.
What I find quite interesting is that although these people lived during an era where travel had to be extremely challenging on the islands, they sure did move around.
Hope the image helps some of you researching this line. Hasta pronto!
