Las Piedras and Juncos Digitized Church Records
Las Piedras which is located east of Juncos and San Lorenzo in Puerto Rico was founded in 1773. However, the earliest church records that have been filmed began in 1787 and can be located in the Juncos collection. Juncos, southeast from Gurabo, was later founded later in 1797. I recommend that if researching the area, look at both collections when looking for ancestors.
Both municipalities have churches sounding the same. Juncos’ church was originally known as La Inmaculada Concepción de Nuestra Señora, but today is called La Inmaculada Concepción. Las Piedras has their church Nuestra Señora de la Concepción. As you can see, that can be easily confused and explains how Las Piedras church records wound up being a part of Juncos’ collection.
So instead of creating two blog posts, I have combined both collections on one page. First, we start off with Las Piedras. As always, all links will open to a new window from a desktop/laptop computer. The links to the records are the actual words. You must have popup blocker turned off on this website as all pages work the same way.

Hi Anna, I'm glad you're back! Also grateful for these Junco records you organized for us. Whenever I hit the links you provided it says there is a page error. Do you think this is one of those records that got wiped off, for some reason? Or maybe the page is just temporarily down.
Hi Diana,
Thanks for letting me know. I'll have to check tonight. I know that you now have to be logged in before clicking on links. They have also been working on the website and every so often I get errors I'll post tonight what I find.
