San Juan & Rio Piedras Church Records
An interesting title but something that people do not realize they go together. Unless researchers have dedicated many years and notice the same pattern many of us see. It is the reason I call this article San Juan & Rio Piedras church records has to do with location. As a result, those that live in the northern section of Rio Piedras live in close proximity to San Mateo. It is why Rio Piedras is considered a part of the San Juan region today. People will likely have their baptism, marriages, and funerals at San Mateo. Not surprising since going to San Mateo has existed for many generations.
Imagine the surprise of many researchers not realizing that they were always looking in Nuestra Señora del Pilar that they should also be looking at San Mateo.
So the collection of San Mateo transcribed records is donated by Yvonne Santana. In addition, Yvonne has done most of the Cathedral records for San Juan. And Ivette Izquierdo has also contributed to the San Juan collection. Therefore, we cannot thank these women enough for their contribution. Feel free to leave a comment below to thank them. It is important to communicate that I have uploaded other files donated. Please check out the pages for both towns under the Puerto Rico Genealogy page.
