Santa Clara de Asis Records
The British Library is preserving books that are in danger of disappearing. It was nice to see that they have digitized for Santa Clara de Asis records. The church is a cathedral located in Santa Clara, in the province of Villa Clara. Finally, the collection from this church includes records for Blacks, Browns, and Whites. The collection is extensive and hope that many of you can find the records you need. Just remember that you can find ancestors in all types of books.
Along with the content shared, note that the pardos books contain enslaved and manumitted Blacks. If you see them listed as criollo, this means that they were born on the island. Otherwise, you should see a reference to where they were born.
