1800’s Census Records for Lares Puerto Rico Online

While there are limited records, especially church records, for Lares, Puerto Rico.  There are other options and access to information for Lares. Most are available by visiting a local Family History Center.  However, fortunately, there are some records available online.  The records I found are the general census records as well as the laborer census records.  The three currently available online are:

• 1864 – 1875 Census
• 1863 – 1865 General Laborer Census (Censo General de jonaleros)
• 1866-1870 Laborer Census (Censo de jonaleros)

There are contracts for those enslaved available but those would have to appear under a separate post as they are not available online.
