The Jérémie Church Records

While researching and reviewing church records for Cap-Haitien, I came across this collection of Jérémie church records. As always, I must share! Nothing worst than not being able to find records while researching ancestors. The Caribbean community is small when compared to the world and it feels great to share with many others that may or may not share DNA connections. I think that if we all shared, it would make life so much easier in researching our history.

The records for Jérémie are very limited and are for the Saint Louis Roi church. The original books are stored in Paris, France which is how Familysearch was able to film these books. They are as follows…

• 1778 to 1782 Births, Marriages, and Deaths Book (Image 223)
• 1783 to 1786 Births, Marriages, and Deaths Book (Image 6)
• 1787 to 1790 Births, Marriages, and Deaths Book (Image 162) – 1789 is missing per the book
